Arcade Manufacturing Inc. was founded as the Novelty Iron Works around 1866 by Jerome B. Hazen. Two of his nephews, Edward H. and Charles Morgan, started to work for him while still in their teens. Later, the Morgan brothers continued to do business at the small factory on the corner of Chicago and Jackson Streets with ten employees. Around 1874, the company was reorganized as the Arcade Manufacturing Company with significant expansion.
