Many models of Arcade wall-mount coffee grinders and coffee mills use some glass catch cups. Some use generic glass cups without markings, while others have glass catch cups with unique markings. For example, the Arcade Crystal No. 3 coffee mill uses a glass receiving cup graduations marked at tablespoon levels. The Arcade No. 25, earlier versions, came with a generic glass cup with no markings. Not all coffee grinders came with glass cups, though. The X-Ray grinder had a detachable cast iron cup.

Many antique coffee mills sold on eBay or other markets have replacement receiving cups. You must know what it looks like if you want the original matching cup. Please let me know if you need help identifying the matching cups.

Hi I have an arcade #3 that I just acquired but it does not have the metal part that holds the catch cup (some have springs/some don’t where do I find this part? Thanks
John says
eBay is your friend. That part comes off easily. Look for broken Crystal No 3 that still has the glass holder. I’ve seen them on eBay.

I found a Arcade model 1 catch cup original in like new condition. I never thought I would come across one. Can you tell me the rarity of it and although not for sale, what is the value of it ?

This mill was a rusty mess with a rusted through lid so it was cleaned to bare metal and repainted in semi-gloss enamel. It had new gasket material between the glass hopper and the body and a replacement lid was added along with a horseshoe catch cup. The grind is adjusted with the screw that goes through the back of the grinder.
